Introducing IPC Partners Insight Webinars in partnership with HIS and the IPS

We’re delighted to announce the IPC Partners Insight Webinar series for 2026, developed and delivered in partnership with the Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) and the Infection Prevention Society (IPS). These sessions are designed to keep frontline IPC practitioners and others involved in HCAI and AMR informed, engaged, and connected.

We’re thrilled to be collaborating with IPS and HIS to bring these Insight Webinars to you, combining our collective experience and ideas to develop a programme that is relevant to you. We have pulled together an exciting programme of Insight Webinars for 2026, which are free to attend and tailored to your interests. Insight Webinars provide a concise, expert-led update on key topics related to IPC, HCAI, and AMR, with plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.

These aims of these sessions are to:

• Provide an expert overview of a relevant topic.
• Generate discussion and foster critical thinking.
• Support continuous professional development (CPD) (Insight Webinars will be CPD approved by the RCPath.)
• Help transition evidence into practice.
• Create a network of enthusiasts.
• And yes, have a little fun!

Kicking off the programme, join Dr Areej Al-Ali on 7th Jan 2026 for an insight webinar on “Candidozyma auris: the infection control challenges in Kuwait.” The webinar will provide an overview of some of the challenges faced when implementing an IPC programme to combat the spread of C. auris in Kuwait. Wherever in the world you are, some of the challenges will be unique, and others shared, as we discuss developing solutions to the issues faced when dealing with this persistent and sometimes deadly yeast. Dr Phil Norville and Dr Jon Otter will co-chair the session and facilitate the all-important Q&A.

From plumbing to pathogens, from human behaviour to high-tech analytics, this series arms IPC teams and anybody connected with HCAI and AMR with practical strategies for safer, fairer, and greener healthcare. Topics for future Insight Webinars include:

• Environmental risks: Water systems, sinks, drains, and surfaces as persistent reservoirs—engineering fixes and smarter disinfection.
