Journal Club: IPC Partnership with the Infection Prevention Society

The challenge

The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) wanted to create more opportunities for discussion with healthcare professionals, shining a spotlight on research published in their flagship Journal Infection Prevention (JIP). IPS needed a platform that would not only share insight into JIP publications but also drive engagement and increase readership.

Solution

IPS partnered with IPC Partners to launch a series of interactive Journal Clubs focusing on selecting papers from JIP. Here is a recording of a recent IPC Journal Club in partnership with IPS.

Impact

The partnership between IPC Partners and IPS has:

  • Increased engagement with IPS journals
  • Attracted hundreds of infection prevention professionals worldwide
  • Provided a forum for lively, practical debate on topical healthcare challenges

The Journal Clubs we have held in partnership with IPC Partners have been well-attended and full of
lively discussion that really helps bring research into practice. The conversations at the end are always my favourite part - they spark such great ideas and insights! The IPC Partners team have been brilliant throughout, with an excellent partnership process that takes much of the legwork out of organising each session. It’s been a pleasure to collaborate with them.
