"Empowering patients to improve hand hygiene" (IPC Journal Club led by Dr Jude Robinson)
This IPC Partners Journal Club was led by Dr Jude Robinson, with Dr Phil Norville and Dr Jon Otter facilitating the Q&A. This session explored the exciting possibilities of empowering patients to improve hand hygiene (and many other aspects of their care!) based on this paper:https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2590088925000204?ref=pdf_download&fr=RR-2&rr=9638d1353c73cdaf The Q&A was great, with lots of reflection on how we productively engage patients in hand hygiene.
20 years of Candida BSI: mortality, recurrence, and resistance (IPC Journal Club)
This Journal Club was led by Dr Nneoma Okeke, with Dr Phil Norville and Dr Jon Otter facilitating the Q&A. This session delved into the paper, which presented an epidemiological evaluation of 20 years of data related to Candida bloodstream infections in Queensland, Australia, providing insights into mortality, recurrence, and resistance. A really interesting Q&A, as ever!
